With such a power of photos, special occasions like weddings, deserve utmost attention & care. After all the chaos & stress in wedding preparations & the actual wedding itself, couples will just be left with photos. And these photos should great be superior & exceptional. I'm sure you don't want to cherish a sloppy documentation of an event close to your heart, right? Now you may say, this is my second wedding already & I think Uncle John who just bought a Canon Rebel Xti can just take the pictures for our wedding, seems a good idea. Well, think twice. I'm pretty sure that no matter how many times you got married already, it doesn't mean the other is more leading than the other. Of course, each is dissimilar & special for you. And therefore, deserves pro photography, not just Uncle John. Now, how can you tell if you're getting the right photographer for your wedding?

First, the wedding photographer should be professional. Being a pro means an specialist in his field, in this case, in wedding photography. Couples should know the wedding photographer's knowledge, skill, talent & perceive in wedding photography. Did he/she study photography? Is he/she talking with sense? Couples can tell if the wedding photographer knows what he's doing by the way he communicates. Knowledge exudes reliance if he knows what he's talking about. His actions like how he sets up the lights, how he presents himself & his services, etc. Also signifies knowledge & expertise in his field.

You can also gauge if he's a knowledgeable & an experienced wedding photographer if he is prepared on anything circumstances that may occur. Does he have a second photographer? Does he have plans to go to the location or locations, days before the occasion? Does he checks the light sources, the locations, the length from the location of wedding making ready to the church, up to the reception? Are his equipments in good condition? In my opinion, high tech camera isn't a full insurance that you can get for real remarkable photos. Photography is a form of art.

Therefore, the photographer's artistic touch & not just skills but also his talent, is very crucial in creating great images. Is he creative in conceptualizing, in taking observation of the lighting, the location, etc? Is he able to materialize his concepts? Can he work well under pressure? This is leading to ensure that the wedding photographer will capture every leading details of the occasion. Within just a split of a second, many things can pass by. Can he for real make his subjects-the couple, the couple's families, friends & all the guests, at ease to supervene directions when taking shots?

Second, does the style of his photography suits your preference? In this case, couples should ask for samples of his works. Are you seeing for a traditional, photojournalistic, or combination of both? Do you want a creative, edgy & unique wedding photography? No matter how the photographer calls his style, it's leading to see an actual sample of his work. And you should be able to delineate clearly the kind of style you want for your wedding. Are stolen shots fine with you? Do you give high regard in capturing the mixed emotions emerging on your special day?

Lastly, you should also look into the personality of the wedding photographer. He or she should be friendly & easy to go along with. He should have the skill of production his clients at ease & comfortable to work with. An engagement photo shoot or pre-wedding shoot is helpful to produce a good association & to break the awkwardness on the actual wedding.

The personality of the wedding photographer is somewhat associated to professionalism. The things you should note are: is he all the time on time, is he well-organized, does he give emphasis on perfect aid before, on, & after the wedding? If you are truly satisfied with a service, then it's easier to remember the person, to build a good working association & even to give referrals to close families & friends.

Wedding photography is your timeless investment. It's something special to cherish, to hold on to. That's why you truly deserve wedding photos worth remembering!
